This wire is for indoor use in fire/life safety systems, fire and alarm notification, smoke/heat detection, building control circuits and initiating circuit systems. It is "Data Rated" for telephone and datacommunications applications. Exceeds UL1666 flame test for cables installed vertically in shafts (risers). Rated 300 volts and -20 degrees Celsius to 75 degrees Celsius in dry locations.
Construction: 18 AWG solid bare copper, PVC insulation, color coded, cabled, aluminum / polyester foil tape plus tinned stranded copper drain(22 AWG), yellow PVC jacket, surface printed.
This 2 conductor #18 stranded wire has an insulation thickness of 9 (PVC) mils with the jacket thickness of 15 mils (PVC). The outside diameter is .162 inches and the net weight of 1000 feet of cable is 22 lbs. The capacitance is 53 picofarads per inch.
