General Radio GenRad GR 1232A from an aerospace bankruptcy in above
It is basically a solid state (transistor era) tuned amplifier and null detector voltmeter, offering
both broadband and narrow frequency tunable measurements over a 20 Hz to 100 kHz range.
Important note: Image is of an already sold somewhat similar unit.
Unit offered here is in the darker GR livery.
Requires a source of 12 vdc at 3.5 ma. NOT presently supplied. The
original mercury cell battery tube remains present, but the intended cells
are no longer available. Ordinary larger 24 mm diameter primary or rechargable
coin cells can be substituted with a minor modification. The details on your
power supply will depend on the accuracy of the restoration you are seeking.
Benchtop unit measures 6 x 6 x 9 inches and weighs 7 pounds..
used condition. Checking consisted of bringing a hand near the GR unisex connector
and noting a broadband meter reading increase at high gain.. It appears fully functional
and we will guarantee it serviceable.
