Thomas model 21 electrophoresis power supply, 500VDC

Thomas Model 21 Electrophoresis Power Supply
For sale- an Arthur Thomas Model 21 Electrophoresis Power Supply. This would typically be used with a companion piece, the Thomas Model 20 Electrophoresis cabinet, but that I don t have. Actually I might, I have an awesome collection of electrophoresis pieces, but not enough time to sort through it all. So for now what I am offering is the power supply as pictured, plus a manual for the model 20 and 21, including a schematic of this PS.
The power supply has a high and low range setting for both Constant Voltage and Constant Current. As I can measure voltage I have done so, and as you might be able to see, with the juice cranked all the way up it is showing 501 volts on my cheap VOM with the meter reading basically the same. Max current draw is 100 milliamps. Physical condition is good but certainly not new, probably as good as it needs to be though.
The unit has two voltage supply leads with banana plug blocks as pictured. Without the jumpers shown in the yellow terminals the voltage falls to zero as a safety precaution I guess. The outer insulation on the voltage leads is frayed in places, but the individual insulation on the positive and negative wires looks good, so you could probably get away with just wrapping it in electrical tape.
Other than the insulation issue (main AC cord input looks OK) the only other thing I should note is that it blew the output fuse when I flipped the polarity switch with the thing cranked up. Probably you should power it down or off before changing the polarity. No big deal but it was a really low value fuse, like 1/8 amp or something like that, and the lowest value I had on hand to replace it was amp, so that should be replaced prior to use.
