7" atlas shaper downfeed stop

7" Atlas Shaper Downfeed Stop.
After I started working with my Atlas Shaper I came to the conclusion I needed to do something as trying to see the graduations lines on the dial was hard enough while stopped and near impossible to keep track of while moving it became clear some type of downfeed stop was needed. And set about making one up... and after a few months of tinkering with a rough idea I came up with a working model and at that time made up some extras and sold them on here. Well I got a request from fella for one and made up a few additional ones at that time and thought I'd offer them again on here.
This makes repetitive work easier... I cut these dove tails simply by setting the downfeed stop after cutting
the first side to the depth I wanted... that side measured .3800" flipped the block and cut the other side relying on nothing but the downfeed stop. And when finished I checked the depth of that side and it is .3805". I don't think I could of did better by going blurry eye trying to keep track of the dial.
The internally cut splines have a variation of .002 between any set of key ways 1.125".. 1.123" and 1.121" with a total deviation high to low of .004". Again only relying on my downfeed stop. Pretty good for cutting a total key way length of 15".
It's easy to installs in a couple minutes and as you've seen works in any position.
And does not alter your 7" Atlas Shaper in any way
