While listening to Scott Palchers CD "Painters Solutions", I was able to note many different valuable peices of information pertaining to growing and managing a successful painting business. Scott does a super job of not only explaining the ins and outs of what it takes to begin and manage a painting business, he also makes it "user friendly" by discussing some of his own personal experiences in his business which makes it incredibly easy to follow and relate to. There are numerous tactics, ideas, and "extra" pieces of information and advice that Scott goes into detail about that the average person thinking of starting a business would overlook. Understanding the knowledge that Scott provides on this disk about marketing strategies is a must for anyone that is serious about beginning a painting business of their own.

Don't be leery about purchasing this product! My husband and I hate motivational tapes and wanted to purchase a product that would actually help us start our painting business and we got lucky with this one. This series of CD's has to be the most informative and through product for start-up painters on the market today. We got a kick out of some of the information, like how to obtain square footage, but heck, that's important information and not everyone has been around as long as us. And the teacher is straight on the mark, doesn't fool around with idle useless propaganda, isn't trying to sell anything on the side and is really just plain teaching the information needed to start a painting business. Thanks for a super product!

After taking some college courses Scott was thrust directly into the business world uncertain of what he would do with what he learned. He stumbled under the watchful eye of a very successful local business entrepreneur; scott quickly learned the dos and don'ts of building a profitable business.
He spent a few years working at a local paint store where he had gone from being a clerk at a paint store to managing the store! Then becoming the outside sales repersentative and techno expert on coatings.
Then in 1993 Scott became a licensed paint contractor in his state. Now with years of trial, error and other professionals advice he has in-depth understanding of the contracting world. He has learned not just the theory, the basics, but well beyond, and even and becoming a teacher at the local community college. He has spoken in front of thousands of people on numerious occassions. His business at one point had 13 employees and subcontractors working regularly. Scott has devoted himself to understanding the trades and what it takes to be successful as a business owner. Over the last few years Scott found his skills in demand, and one of his associates introduced him to an Architecture Design Build Firm of Wilmington Delaware. Sitting on the 10th floor in a corner office Scott could over look the vast city below, however he found himself just not being happy being the project manager. Then another Muti-million dollar firm in Baltimore asked him to contract with them to achieve thier goal of 10 million. In a few short months Scott was able to reduce the lead costs, improve name recongition, and work with the owner on many aspects of the business. Yet, again even while doing this great work he wasnt fully happy. Yet still works with them today.
He began fielded calls from many of his former employees asking him advice. He saw several leap even further head of his past performance, and others struggle. He felt the longing to return some how to the Contracting world he loved in its puriest form. "Project Managing is interesting, but not my dream." said to me as he considered options with money not being his main focus. "I know if you do what you love, the money will come" he went on to say.
Then in an effort to return to what he really loved, he became a Trades Consultant working with small to large construction companies. Clearly if mult-million dollar companys trust Scott Palcher, so should you.
