Gardner Bender Aluminum Split Bolt Connector 00-8 AWG. Aluminum Split Bolts are constructed of high strength aluminum and are suitable for use with copper and aluminum conductors. UL Listed / CSA Certified. Wire brushing of conductors is not needed, since Aluminum Split Bolts feature high strength, oxide displacing jaws and separate dis-similar wires, preventing galvanic corrosion. Using GB OX-Gard anti-oxidant treatment is suggested on Al-Al and Al-Cu to prevent corrosion and permit cooler connections
