Tools, my how tools have evolved since the cave man. Well, if you are a tool collector then what we have here might be of interest to you as it is truly a machinist collectible. This is an Antique Tool - it is called a DIAL INDICATOR.

I do not know exactly how old this small Antique Tool - DIAL INDICATOR No. 045 is, or where all it has been, or things it has seen and/or done, but I'm sure it has been plenty.
I am no expert, I do not even know exactly how DIAL INDICATORS work, but though it is old/used, it appears to be in well cared for, pretty excellent condition. Scuffed?? Well, some black paint is worn off and perhaps / maybe it could use a little cleaning. It appears that, in the right hands, it would work quite smoothly and accurately and/or know what it is suppose to be doing. A great addition to anyone's collection - perhaps yours.
